Code Canada staff had consulted internally and determined that the updated CGSB radon mitigation standards could not be referenced in the Code until they were included in the list of reference standards. As noted at the previous meeting, there was not enough time in the current cycle to add new standards to the list of reference standards. 

The chair and staff presented a new revised appendix note meant to assist someone wishing to apply for an alternative solution by going above the Code minimum (passive stack) and installing an active (with fan) mitigation system. 

CHBA noted that the Proposed Change Form (PCF) 1713 (Passive vertical radon stack) will not work for industry, and we can expect that industry will be addressing this proposed change at the provincial level. 

The chair closed the meeting by noting the work of the radon task group has now been completed.
