WEBINAR - Above Grade Walls: What are the Options?

NOV 13 | 1:00-3:00 ET | ONLINE

Join CHBA and Building Knowledge Canada, our expert speakers, and dynamic panel in this "Renovating for High Performance" series. This session "Above Grade Walls: What are the Options?" explores two distinct approaches. Learn about effective methodologies for exterior insulation systems, as well as interior approaches for both wood frame and masonry walls. Dig into key details when tying in additions, walls to roof, and other critical junction points to ensure continuity of the envelope. Experienced project teams will showcase their strategies to avoid known pain points from the drawing board to on-site. Hosted by Lynne J Strickland of CHBA, this session features expert insights from Trevor Trainor, Bawating Building Science, and Gord Cooke, Building Knowledge Canada, who will facilitate the discussion as they share their building science expertise from climate zones 5 through 8. Hear practical lessons and real-world project experience from Net Zero Renovators Peter Darlington, Solar Homes (Calgary) and Chris Smith, Woodsmith Construction (Toronto) along with guidance from Master Energy Advisor Toby Smith, Building Knowledge Canada, on impacts to performance and durability. Register here.
