Awards Judges

Finding judges for housing awards competitions can be a challenge, especially as committed judges in your area get fatigued, or if it’s a particularly busy time of year.

Many EOs reach out to their fellow HBAs asking for judging recommendations, which is great. The national office also asks its judges every year whether they’re open to having their name shared with local and provincial associations who are looking for judges. The National competition is quite large, so while the caliber of every individual judge can’t be commented on, there is a decent list of leads available to HBAs below.

The list available below can be sorted based on location and expertise. The list below is from January 2026. At the time of the list creation, all judges were members of CHBA.
