Awardify Discount for HBAs - History
During discussion around the table at the EOC meeting in Banff in February 2023, many HBAs indicated they were interested in CHBA pursuing a group discount for Canadian awards software Awardify. At the time, 18 HBAs were already using Awardify (see list at the bottom of this email), with several others saying they were considering joining. CHBA then successfully obtained a group discount for Awardify and also signed on to use the software for the CHBA National Awards for Housing Excellence. The discount is structured in tiers like the GrowthZone discount that obtained around the same time: the more HBAs that sign up and use the software , the higher the discount.Group Discount Details
The current discount is 15% off, since 20+ HBAs have signed up (including CHBA). If 25 HBAs sign up, the discount will be 20%. All discounts will be applied to subscriptions made in the next calendar year using the tier reached in the previous year (in other words, you can’t retroactively get pricing in the current calendar year). This discount is exclusive to HBAs within our association and is not publicly posted. For current pricing (without the discount), see their website. Anyone who is currently grandfathered into pricing that is lower than group discount will continue to receive the lower grandfathered pricing and is not eligible for further discount.To get the discount, let Awardify know that your association is part of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association.
Price Increase Cap
Due to concerns raised by HBAs that Awardify substantially increased their prices recently, CHBA has also negotiated a group price increase cap that guarantees Awardify price increases will be limited for HBAs to a maximum of 3% annually for 3 years from the date of signed contract.Connection to GrowthZone + Customizations
CHBA will be working with Awardify to develop API integrations with GrowthZone to optimize the entry process for members and minimize administrative requirements for HBAs. CHBA will cover the initial cost of this set-up, which should minimize subsequent set-up costs for HBAs who are using GrowthZone who wish to make the same type of integration. Please note that CHBA will only begin working on this once CHBA has fully made the switch to GrowthZone (anticipated date of November 2023).
CHBA will also be working with Awardify to develop other customizations needed for the CHBA National Awards for Housing Excellence workflow. Once these customizations are developed, they would also be available free of charge to all HBAs, as is Awardify’s standard operational procedure.
Other Options
While Awardify is very competitively priced for what it offers at $1979/year CAD ($1682.15 with our 15% group discount), it may not be the right solution for every HBA, and CHBA is not expecting or suggesting that anyone should use the software. There are other solutions out there that may be better suited to your HBA’s needs. For example, OHBA is currently using its own proprietary software that may be an option in the future for HBAs.
